Man, that is a long title....

Whoops, we took a mini break there, but now we are back and ready to keep our predictions rolling! Bringing us back to the isekai genre, tonight we will be taking a look at I've Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level. This fluffy little piece got a lot of attention, but do I think it will make the cut? Let's find out!
Let me just tell ya, these isekai's all have ridiculous names, both in length and in contents. With that being said, moving forward I will just refer to this one as Maxed Out My Level, still long but good enough. So, what's this one about? Azusa Aizawa, your typical young office worker, overworked herself into an early grave in her 20's. When she died, she was presented with the option to be reborn in another world and she takes the chance. With that, she reincarnates into a witch with eternal life and decides, she wants to spend her time living the easy life. After 300 years of near solitude and utter peace, she still isn't tired of it. Unfortunately, 300 years of killing the lowest level of slime adds up and suddenly she is being recognized as the most powerful people this world has seen. So much for the quiet life, but maybe having some people to share life with would make it even sweeter than before. Follow Azusa as she makes new friends and grows her family into something she never even dreamed.
It's cute.
I paused for a really long time upon writing those two words, because really that sums it up pretty well. It IS cute, but there is not much else going on there. There's nothing wrong with that either, sometimes you just need a cute, mindless anime. If that's what you need, this is it! The only let down here is that Maxed Out My Level got a lot of promotional opportunities. At last years Anime Awards they received one of the sneak preview slots. Not only that but after the awards they also received a lot of advertisements. There was a lot of hype and I think people were expecting to see something more like That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime which is also a very cute isekai, but has a bit more depth. We will talk about that one another time but the point is, this wasn't that. It's cute, it's fluffy, and it is filled to the brim with fan service. And that's all you really need to know.
Having said that, this is no Anime of the Year award candidate. And to be honest, I don't think it will be nominated for any categories. To be even more honest, despite how cute it was, I think I would be a bit disappointed if this won a slot when there are so many better shows out there right now.
It's funny, I feel like we just went Hero to Zero between Part Three and Part Four, but hey, these are just my predictions...Tune in next time to see what I predict next!
Thank you so much for joining me tonight. I always feel guilty coming back from an unexpected mini break, but life is chaos, ya know? I hope all of you are having a wonderful week. Christmas is right around the corner and hopefully for some of you that means a little break to relax. Before we get there though we have Rantt and The Mess this Sunday and Nerdom again on Wednesday! I hope you'll join us, but until then, stay safe, stay nerdy and stay messy otaku!
