Alli Predicts: Part Seven- Group One

With only two weeks left before the nominees are announced, it's time to kick it in gear! Yup, it's time to do some group predictions, starting with isekai's and sequential season's.

Alright, we have a lot to get through people, no dilly dallying. My name is Allison, and this is the seventh installment of my mini series- Alli Predicts. Where I binge a crap ton of anime and try to predict if it will be nominated for the 2022 Anime Awards. Parts one through six were individual reviews and predictions, but for part seven and eight we'll be switching it up with group predictions. What's a group prediction? It's where I list a bunch of anime's and only give my prediction, instead of a full review. It's chaotic and it's happening!
Starting with some of our isekai's, and while we're there we will just bleed into our sequential season's. Let's begin!
The World Ends With You

I had high hopes for this one. It is based off of one of my husband's favorite video games. Very cool concept overall, but unfortunately, I do not think it will make it to the awards. If anything carries it, it will be for Best Score. Other than that, I think this anime was too niche for it's own good. Similar to Mo Dao Zu Shi, it was clearly intended for the originals fans and nothing more.
Available to watch on Funimation and Hulu.
My Next Life As A Villainess: All Routes Lead To Doom- Season Two

Wow, okay, if there was an award for largest cast, this would definitely be our winner! Luckily, even without that award on the table, I still think this little peach will be nominated. Let's face it, it's cute! Not to mention at last years awards, for it's first season, it received four nominations and walked away with one win. I'm not sure it will get as much attention this year but I still expect to see it on the screen come the 18th. Best Comedy, Best Girl, Best Boy will be where to look.
Available to watch on Crunchyroll.
That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime- Season Two

I didn't understand why this caught so much hype a few years ago, but after finally sitting down and watching it- I get it. I wouldn't be surprised if this fan favorite becomes a "classic" one day. It's silly, it's sweet, and it's picking up depth with each season it seems. With that being said, it was nominated [and won] for it's first season and I am sure it will be nominated again for it's second. This isn't anime of the year worthy but I do hope to see it on the board for Best Comedy, Best Boy, Best Girl, and Best Fight Scene.
Available to watch on Crunchyroll.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba- Season Two

Yes. Just...Yes. This is the 2020 Anime of the Year Award WINNER. It just came out with it's second season right after it had a record breaking movie premier. So, yes, they will be at the awards. Throw a dart at your categories.
Available to watch on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu.
Fruits Basket: The Final (Season Three)

God I hope so. Listen, I have written so much about this show. The manga is one of my all time favorite series and this remake was incredible. Though I have qualms with the last season, I know it will hands down take part in its third anime awards in a row. Best Boy, Best Girl, Best Couple (two nominations here please), Best Drama, and Best Opening Sequence. Let this be their biggest year yet! Best of luck to my babies!
Available to watch on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu.
My Hero Academia- Season Five

I know you guys are probably so done hearing me talk about My Hero but let me just spin you this fun fact real quick. My Hero Academia has been nominated every single year since Crunchyroll started their awards in 2017. 26 nominations. 14 wins. This is one of the number one anime's in the world. Though this can be considered one of their weakest seasons, I still expect them to show up at the awards like always, with multiple nominations, like it or not. That's just facts.
Available to watch on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu.
And that concludes this weeks round of predictions. I will be back next week with another round of six for you and then we wait! All will be revealed on January 18th when nominations drop. Are you ready?
Thank you so much for tuning into our second to last episode of our first ever mini series here on Nerdom. James and I genuinely appreciate it as a lot of time and energy went into this series. Though, honestly, I would have done it anyways haha! But I before we go, I just wanted to say, I hope you're having a great start to 2022. Just in case you're not though, let me remind you: the first may have passed but everyday can be a fresh start. Start over as many times as it takes okay? Don't be too hard on yourself. Let's all strive for better this year. And I hope to see you Sunday for Rantt and The Mess! Until then, stay safe, stay nerdy, and stay messy otaku!
